So, as promised, here I am again with a recap of my second day at Fashion Week, which was absolutely INSANE 😁. However, like with the last article, I want to tell you a bit about my stay at one of the best hotels I’ve ever stepped foot into – the One Aldwych Hotel near Covent Garden.
One Aldwych is a luxury, 5-star hotel in one of the most precious pieces of real estate in London. It’s right smack in the middle of Covent Garden in a stunning triangular building that you seriously can’t miss. The hotel has positioned itself right at the crossroads of the best theatres in London, amazing restaurants, bars, and all kinds of things to make your stay the best possible. And you guys know how much I like eat. 😋
The best thing about One Aldwych is the service that you get for staying there. You’re seriously treated like royalty, y’all. There is nothing that the employees at this hotel won’t do for you to make your stay the absolute best possible.
So, if you’re privileged enough to have the funds to spend a night or two at the One Aldwych, then you’ve got to try it out. I can guarantee that you’re going to love this place so much that you’ll want to move in and live the Suite Life of Zack and Cody 😍😂
Now that we’ve chatted a bit about where we stayed during our second day of LFWM, let’s talk about Day 2 itself. Once we left citizenM and dropped our luggage off at One Aldwych, we started the day off with an appointment with Minute Azimut, an emerging watch brand out of the UK. We got to meet the founder and primary force in the company who is absolutely outstanding. The whole thrust behind Minute is that they want to bring back the golden age of watchmaking – the time when nobody was worried about having huge brand names on their wrists. Their watches are elegant AF, but are also affordable if you don’t have that much sitting in your bank account. Their founding principle is this: “To provide elegant and durable luxury watches whilst giving back to the environment.” Enough said 🙌🏼
After we finished with Minute, it was time for another catwalk (literally my favourite thing ever y’all). This time it was for Alex Mullins and I have to say that this was definitely one of my favourite shows while there. His designs were super colourful and gave a little nod to the days of the 70s. Check some of the outfits down below! 😊
After that show, we went to see my all-time favourite show of the weekend – John Lawrence Sullivan. This collection takes a combination of strong masculinity and elegance and created something seriously cool. The designs are all up in your face, but in a good way 😂. Plus, they give a bit of an 80s rock vibe, which I’m all about. See for yourself down below:
After that catwalk, we went to a few more presentations, but I wasn’t a huge fan of many of them, so I won’t bore you with them here 😅.
Oh, one more thing, we had the pleasure of having dinner at the Indigo restaurant and a cocktail in the Lobby Bar at One Aldwych and I can’t even describe to you guys how crazy amazing they were. I never imagined that my mouth could go through such an experience, but oh, it did. The food was crazy good and I had the most expensive steak that I’ve ever had in my life. But it was completely worth it 😋. Check out the One Aldwych Indigo restaurant right here and se for yourself how great it is!
✨DAY 3 OF LFWM COMING SOON✨
*I worked with One Aldwych for complimentary stay while in London. As always, all opinions I expressed in this article are my own.*
